BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St James-the-Great Church (1), Radley

Two rectangular vertical dials either side of the south-west corner of the tower. This one declines very slightly east of due south. The other (SRN 3748), round the corner, declines slightly south of due west. The dial has a semicircle round the gnomon root, then full length hour lines and shorter half-hour lines to the rectangular chapter ring. The upright Roman hour numerals from 6am to 5pm use XII at noon and IV at 4pm. All lines and numerals are painted light blue-grey directly on the stone. The narrow flat-strip gnomon has a single straight support strut. The dial is protected from the weather by a stone drip-strip above. See also SRN 3748 - the dial round the corner.
