BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Darrowby Inn, Thirsk

Circular dial face with convex surface. Raised figures of flaming-sun face at gnomon root, and crescent moon at top left. Upright Roman numerals VI - XII - IV - VI, with a dot for the hour point. No hour lines or divisions. All furniture raised and gilt, on blue ground. Mounted on south facing wall of the public house, at first floor level.
