BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Melton Grange Hotel, Woodbridge

This declining vertical sundial is set into the brickwork over the main entrance into the building. The dial is also formed from brickwork, in the shape of an ornate shield with a heavily decorated floral surround. The dial shows the time from 6am to 4pm in 15 min intervals, the hours being indicated with Roman numerals. The gnomon has small circular support.
