BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Old Clergy House [NT], Alfriston

The dial is in the Box Tree Garden. An inscription reads: ’National Trust 1896 - 1996 The Old Clergy House’, and the gnomon is pierced with the NT Oak logo. There is an inner chapter ring for BST. Private conversation with Nick Jarvis, curator, reveals that in this location this dial replaces 1057 which is to be (1997) and has been (2007), removed to the adjacent vegetable garden. Baluster plinth taken from old Waterloo Bridge 1934. Pedestal apparently damaged in transit (source: The gardener 2007)
