BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Somerset

Motto reads: "As shadowe so mans life doth goe". Motto doesn’t fit across dial top. Gnomon believed replaced in 1930s. Refer p263 of Mee’s Somerset 1940 - a sundial of Shakespeare’s day. Some Roman numerals inverted. Shows 7am to 6pm in hours. Date at gnomon foot is indistinct.
