BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Beccles

Remnant of painted sundial partly visible beneath a later clock face on the South side of the detached tower of the church.The markings show a pedimented break arch shaped dial with most of the chapter ring and the ends of two hour lines just visible. The hours are shown from 8am to 7pm. There are unusual multiple holes within all lines and numerals. Perhaps these may have been keys for fixing the numerals and other dial markings.
