BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter’s Church, Caverswall

The dial stands on a tapered hexagonal section stone pillar, with shaped capital and base, on open grass well to the south of the south porch. The plate shows hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the inside, divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. It is signed ’Holmes, Cheadle’ in the south chapter ring gap. The solid plate gnomon has an unusual circular shaped support, with possible inscribed initials, but not readable.
