BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

A fine circular 17th to 18th century dial, stolen in 1997 before details could be determined. The pedestal stands in small garden (enclosed by sculpted yew hedges) outside the Battle of Britain gym. The dial had Roman numerals for 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 5 and 2 minute intervals. Ornate sculptured pedestal on stepped rectangular base. Overall height 1473.
