BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

The dial is in the Officers’ Mess garden, just to the north of the topiary dial SRN 3637, on a free-standing brick-built ’Dutch Gable’ wall, which declines 12deg W. A motto across the top reads: "The Night Cometh". Upright Roman numerals for 6am to 6pm can be seen, but the delineation is doubtful as the 6 o’clock lines are both below the gnomon root. Hour lines and half hour lines remain.
