BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Down Hall Hotel, Hatfield Heath

A vertical sundial located high on the south wall. Motto reads: ’My time passeth away like a shadow’, arranged around the top three sides of the dialplate proper. Elaborate dial set in a larger frame of decoration. Time displayed is between 6am and 5pm in half hours. Some half hour lines now shorter than others. Lines emanate from a semicircle around the gnomon root. Elaborate cast gnomon surface mounted.
