BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
A breakarch dialplate with a seascape in the arch. Inscribed: "Touch not the cat [with]out the glove", below a Coat of Arms displaying a wildcat. The ’glove’ of a wildcat is the pad. If the cat is ’ungloved’, its claws are unsheathed. The dial is also inscribed "Time’s but a ship that bears thee not thy home" and: "Dunlop fecit MXM". There is an EoT Graph in the lower left corner and the latitude and longitude are shown as "LAT LIV XXIII N" "LONG V XXXIII W". Shows BST 2pm to 12 midnight(!) in hours, using XII and IV.
