BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Barnsley House, Barnsley

In the south gardens. Stone dial plate with no markings. An example of a purely decorative ornamental dial, with a very large and steeply-angled iron gnomon. It is simlar to the dial at Ablington, four miles away (SRN 4337). The house was the home of the garden designer Rosemary Verey (1918 - 2001).
