BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Horizontal dial in garden. Shows 6am to 8pm (BST) on main scale and 6am to 6pm (GMT) in smaller dial centred on gnomon root and having floral centre. Main dial has names of seasons around the inside of the chapter ring with floral; décor accompaniment. Conventional back-cut shape to gnomon but with unique circular 16pt medallion piercing. Set on slender circular section baluster pedestal with square capital and deep chamfered plinth which contains an inscription recording its donation in 1977.
