BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter’s Church., Pudlestone

High on the South wall of the tower is a flaking and cracked stone vertical South dial which is supported by a single corbel. Only a patch from XI to XII retains any numerals or hour lines . It would probably have once shown shown the hours VI - VI divided into halves and quarters. The iron gnomon has a concave lower edge. The proximity of a lightning conductor must surely prejudice the future survival of this dial. It is about 300mm square.
