BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Parish Church, Cardington

Vertical Roman hour numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI. Hour lines, 1/2 and 1/4 hour divisions. Illegible motto above. ’S W 1782’ in semi-circle around gnomon root. Mounted on good purpose-made stone bracket, which cants the dial estd 30 deg to W to face due S. Erected by Samuel Whitbread in 1782 (church notes). Located on south wall of tower.
