BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Thomas the Apostle (2), Mellor

The dial is mounted on a Saxon cross 1.3 m high. The dial plate carries 15 minute marks. The gnomon is missing. A second dial in the churchyard of St Thomas the Apostle is situated 55 m from the entrance to the churchyard, on the left of the path.
