BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Blickling Hall (1), Blickling

This is the latest of several replacement dials in the Secret Garden. Outer scale labelled GMT, with numerals V - XII - IV - VII, from inside, divided to 30 and 5 minutes. Inner scale labelled BST with very small similar numerals (VII am - VIII pm). Scales seem offset at noon, possibly longitude allowance, and at the noon position is a symbol, possibly an NT oakleaf. Hour lines do not radiate from the correct positions. Small 16-point compass rose to S of the gnomon. Broad and elaborate gnomon. National Trust property. Update: This dial and pedestal were stolen in February 2014.
