BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This large circular dial is mounted high above the roof line of College Hill Chambers, 21 College Hill, EC4R 2RP, and is best seen with binoculars or a very long lens camera. It is rather faded now but reads around the top ’HORAS NON NUMERO NISI SERENAS’, and around the lower half of the dial ’THE ONLY HOURS I TELL ARE FINE’. Hour lines for 7am to 7pm (GMT) are shown, marked with small Roman numerals for BST (8am to 8pm) in an inner arc, and the central hour lines marked with Arabic numerals for GMT (9am to 4pm) in an outer arc. The thin rod gnomon has an ’S’ shaped support and springs from the centre of a flaming sun. The dial declines 15 degrees west of south. It is a companion dial to SRN 3476.
