BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old Deanery, Battle

The dial is visible from the path to the church. Numerals (VI - XII - IIII - VI) and date are set between 2 square steel frames, painted black, bolted to the (stone or wooden?) dial plate. Unusual gnomon with raised style, possibly to correct the angle, possibly just as an attractive feature.
