BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

In Gardens. 16-point compass rose at the centre. Hour numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from outside, with noon gap. No hour lines visible, but half-hour markers with fleur-de-lys heads. EOT scale with ’Watch too fast’ / ’Watch too slow’. Unfortunately the scale is difficult to read, but it seems to suggest a date prior to the calendar changes of 1752. Bulbous baluster style plinth at the centre of walled gardens.
