BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Initials are IC or ID in script as a monogram. Design Lat is 53 00. Sigmoidal trailing edge to 8mm thich gnomon. EoT presented as a 7 column table on either side of the gnomon. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30 (diamond marks), 15, 7.5 (dot marks), 5 & 3 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. 3min marks are by zigzag transversal ’vernier’. Split noon. Inset with 3 hole fixing in top of a flaking stone circular section baluster pedestal 920h with square capital edged in tier design with vertical flutes between and offset 45 degs to a square plinth. Gnomon may be of different date to dial plate. The dial is to the right of the porch.
