BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Abbey House, Malmesbury

Dial is located high on the gable, visible from the footpath. Very faint markings. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Hour lines extend from gnomon root and end before the bottom of the dial plate. Some signs of writing (a scale or motto) on lower edge. Strip gnomon with two horizontal supporters. Possible nodus notch at end of gnomon? Gardens open Apr-Oct for fee. The dial is shown on an etching dated 1809 so dial is probably quite a bit older.
