BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This vertical South stone dial which was once mounted on the church porch can now be seen leaning against the wall just to the left of it. It shows the hours VI - VI divided into halves and quarters using a cross to mark noon. Across the top is the date 1654 and some faint initials which are probably those of a churchwarden. The iron gnomon has a serrated lower edge to avoid confusing shadows on the dial plate. The dial is 300mm wide. A mass dial can be seen on the church wall.
