BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Buckinghamshire

he dial is on the south wall, above the terrace, to the left. The motto reads: "Tempus Fugit". Shows 6am - 6pm in 15 mins. Split noon line. Dots mark end of half hour lines which extend further inwards than the time scale. Hour lines converge on gnomon root. Ref: Chequers, N Major. Harper Collins,1996 p157
