BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sts Michael & Felix Church, Rumburgh

This painted wooden sundial is above the entrance into the south porch. The hours are indicated in upright numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with half hour inward pointing arrows. The motto across the top reads: "Tempus Fugit" and at the two lower corners the initials LA and MA are painted. The dial has unusual paired diverging hour lines apparently to enclose the width of the gnomon’s shadow. The gnomon is a metal strip with a single supporter and has a scroll at its end.
