BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Kilburn nr Thirsk

The dial located above the Church porch shows 5am to 4pm in hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals vertically aligned. Hour lines may have been refreshed since 2001. Thin, open, gnomon. Evidence that it has at some time been mis-placed, but it is now correct and agrees with the 10 degree East declination. Some sign that there was once a motto or other carving along the top edge.
