BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is very worn and hard to read, but it has a compass rose and a daily scale for the equation of time. The hour numerals are Roman, read from the outside, using IIII for 4pm, with a fleur-de-lys for the half hours in the chapter ring. It stands on a substantial octagonal sandstone baluster pedestal in the lawn outside the south-west front of the house.
