BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Tickhill nr Doncaster

The dial is above the main south facing door. It is new and was in excellent condition (in 1996), but is probably an exact copy of an earlier dial as it is clearly dated 1800. It uses upright numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes, with arrow heads on the inner end of the long half-hour lines. Hour lines run to a full double circle around the gnomon root, which bears the date 1800, as mentioned.
