BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Much Hoole

The dial is painted on the stones of the tower. The motto across the top reads: "Sine sole sileo", and below that is the date 1875. Upright Arabic hour numerals run from 6am to 6pm, divided to 30 and 15 minutes. Ref: Bull 22(iii) Sept 2010, pp 46-52
