BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This is a good modern brass horizontal dial by made by Chilston of Horsmonden in Kent in 1990. It is 250mm in diameter and has a sun engraved on the dial plate together with an Equation of Time table which enables the observer to convert from solar time to clock time.
