BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Churchyard, Winsford

This is an old vertical dial which must have been removed or have fallen from the church wall. This church is Victorian but replaces a Georgian one parts of which still remain, did this dial come from that church? However it will not work as a horizontal dial. But as the hour numerals are all still just about readable, and the angle of the gnomon is almost correct, why not reinstate it to its proper position? It would look better and even work.
