BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
In a small village on the western side of the Wirral. Its church has a small horizontal dial dating from the mid 1800s, which in common with many of that vintage has lost its gnomon. It is engraved with the names of churchwardens and a rather illegible date.
