BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hereford & Worcester

This slate horizontal dial is a 20th century production. It is octagonal measuring 184mm across. A sunburst surrounds the gnomon root and there is a motto which reads, "Lux et Umbra Vicissim sed Semper Lumen Christi" (Light and shade by turns but always the light of Christ). St Michael’s Abbey dates only from about 1854 and was designed by Pugin.
