BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St George’s Church, Brede

Aligned numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI. The date 1826 can be read in the centre of the dial, but very little other furniture remains visible. The dial is mounted on a wooden board on the second buttress to the right of the south porch, and in a stone above is carved ’AS TIME AND / HOUR PASS AWAYE SO / DOTH THE LIFE OF MAN / DECAY’
