BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Giles’ Churchyard, Horsted Keynes

The dial is a cast plate with raised furniture. It shows hours with Roman numerals for 6am to 6pm, read from the inside, using ’O’ for noon and IIII for 4pm. It is incorrectly delineated (6am and 6pm are not on a line through the toe of the gnomon) . The motto at the south reads ’Grow old / along with / me, the best is yet to be’, intersected by a standing Father Time. The gnomon is supported by the figure of a bird.
