Dial in Staffordshire

A simple dial with little furniture, but a date 169x at the gnomon origin. Steel fixing screws have stained the southern part with rust. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from inside. The substantial gnomon is 6mm thick but there does not appear to be a noon gap. The hours are divide to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes. The circular sectioned stone plinth is held to a large square base with four iron angle brackets.
