Madingley Hall (1), Madingley

An unusual set of four sunray supporters lies at the base of the gnomon on this rather handsome dial. It declines just four degrees to the west so its face is pleasingly just off symmentrical. It was created in 1763. The Hall is a College of Education, but there is at present no further information regarding the maker of the dial or its relationship to the College building.
