BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mon Amour, Otford

A coronation memorial sundial with date of coronation, Crown and EIIR motif. The motto above the dial reads: ’Peace in Her Time’. It has been repainted since first sighting and is slightly changed. It now shows 7am to 5pm in half hours (rather than in quarters). The hour lines now end before numerals rather than after but still retain their arrow heads. Roman numerals use the form XII and IIII. The gnomon is doubly mounted with a surface mounted bent support. There is a flaming sun semicircle at the gnomon root. White numerals are painted on a blue chapter ring. White hour lines are on a light blue ground. Current delineation may be slightly different from original.
