BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Thomas Plume Library, Maldon

Probably made for or in memory of, rather than by, Thomas Plume (1630 - 1704). Restored 2005. Motto across top reads: "NON SINE LUMINE". Upright Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with half and quarter hour divisions. Rod gnomon with horizontal double ’S’ rain release supporter, and flaming half sun at gnomon root. Dial overall light blue with all marking in gold. Mounted on the south face of the old church, close to the top SE corner. Library established 1704.
