BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

The dial is on the west lawn. An inscription reads: "Lawford Hall". Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IV. Numerals read from outside the dial. Three declination lines and zodiac symbols. Outer ring divided into 10 degree azimuths. Edge of dial marked with maker. Gnomon is marked to suggest rays of the sun. Gnomon has ’W’ shaped nodus.
