BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

This War Memorial dial is behind a tree on the right of the entrance parking area. Upright numerals VI - XII - IV - VI, with hour lines to a small unmarked semicircle around the gnomon root, which has W, S and E marked in ver small letters. The gnomon is missing.Below the VI - VI line is ’TO THE MEMORY OF THE OLD SCHOLARS OF BELL’S / GRAMMAR SCHOOL WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN / WORLD WAR I AND WORLD WAR II. / BELL’S GRAMMAR SCHOOL ASSOCIATION / SEPTEMBER 1985 ’.
