BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Martin of Tours’ Church, Ashurst

Motto reads: "Ut Hora Sic Vita". Lozenge shaped stone dial with stone surround. Numerals arranged around and aligned with the surround. Some remains of hour lines to lhs. Outer part of the dialplate may also include the date - a vestigial 16 is present at the upper left. Date of 1621 (?1624) is certainly mentioned below the dial. Simple right-triangular strip gnomon.
