BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Petworth House [NT], Petworth

The dial is in the centre of the west face of the house. It declines about 10 degs N of W. Gnomon appears to be incorrect for the dial. Shows 2-4pm [marked 1:15-4:45] in 30, 15, 10 and 5 min marks. Horizontal cartouche in top right but without any content now. Wall dates from 1690 but dial date may be later.
