BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Montacute House [NT], Montacute

Located on the southeast corner of the house, at first floor level. Declines at about 15 degrees W. Markings are incised into the wall and are rather faint. There is a suggestion of a pale-coloured paint border outside the chapter ring. Shows hours and half hours, 7am to 7pm, with Roman numerals (using IIII and XII), but the carving is confused in the morning hours. The gnomon is a metal rod bent into the shape of a triangle.
