BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Polesden Lacey [NT] (3), Dorking

Back of Herbaceous Border. Motto reads: "Vivat Carolus Secundus -----" (part illegible). Arabic numerals for 7am-5pm, Roman for 6am and 6pm. Good bronze gnomon with four curved under-supporters. Corroded and overgrown. Pearson Page model 4227, a copy of the original stone dial at Peterborough.
