BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Almshouses, Philipot Path, Greenwich

The original almshouses were the gift of Thomas Philpot in 1694, and this dial celebrates the tercentenary. Arabic Nos; Equinoctial and Solsticial declination lines with Zodiacal symbols. Gnomon is formed from aperture in sunburst. Shows 6am to 5pm in half hours. Lozenge half hour markers. Black lines and gold numerals on white ground.
