BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hereford & Worcester

This brass on wood horizontal dial is inscribed ’*** Church Yard’ , a possible deterrent to thieves, though the dial has acquired some graffiti. The noon line is along the diagonal of 228mm square dialplate. 4 hole fixing with 2 more recent fixings added either side of gnomon. Gnomon angle 55° . The dial shows IIII - VIII in half and quarter hours. Fleur de Lys half hour marks. Unusual design of gnomon with hole and reversed ’C’ motif to back edge. Two step square stone plinth [1300mm high & 710mm square] with chamfered square section wooden pedestal with inverted wooden pyramid capital, 923mmh overall.
