BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mary Newman’s Cottage, Saltash

A brass horizontal dial was put here in 1995 as a memorial to Max Lock a local architect and benefactor to Tamar Protection Society. It has the commonest of all sundial mottoes ’Tempus Fugit’. Mary Newman was the first wife of Sir Francis Drake.
