The dial is located at the front of the clubhouse. It commemorates the centenery of the club. The dial plate carries the motto ’Thou by the dial’s shady stealth mayst know time’s thievish progress to eternity’. In adition the dial plate is engraved with a compass rose, and an equation of time indication to enable civil time to be estimated.
