BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Beningbrough Hall [NT], Beningbrough nr York

A restored vertical dial in excellent condition. The motto reads: "Tempus Edax" [Time devours].It is elliptical and shows 5am to 7pm in hours. Gold numerals on blue chapter ring. White centre now without hour lines. Placement of numerals is entirely incorrect with respect to that of the (brass) gnomon.
